Bryant Products, Inc. Signs Statement of Support for the Wisconsin National Guard and Reserve

Ixonia, WI – Fred McCormick, Chair Emeritus of the Wisconsin Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Committee (ESGR), an agency of the Department of Defense, has announced that Tamara Wilson, Executive Vice President, recently signed a Statement of Support for the National Guard and Reserve.

The Statement of Support confirms that Bryant Products, Inc. joins other employers in pledging that:

  • We fully recognize, honor, and comply with the Uniformed Services Employment and Re-Employment Rights Act (USERRA).
  • We will provide our managers and supervisors the tools they need to effectively manage those employees who serve in the Guard and Reserve.
  • We appreciate the values, leadership, and unique skills service members bring to the workforce and will encourage opportunities to employ Guardsmen, Reservists, transitioning Service members, and Veterans.
  • We will continually recognize and support our country’s service members and their families in peace, in crises, and in war.

According to McCormick, “Employers who sign an ESGR Statement of Support (SOS) are a critical component of our national defense strategy. The National Guard and Reserve forces make up approximately 50% of our country’s armed forces. One of ESGR’s missions is to foster a culture in which all employers support and value the employment and military service members of the National Guard and Reserve. By signing and SOS, Bryant Products, Inc. is now part of an elite group of Wisconsin employers who pledge their support to our Guard and Reserve members who make ongoing personal and professional sacrifices in support of our national defense.”

Tamara Wilson, when presented with the SOS, said, “This was completely unexpected. We have a great group of employees and do what we can to be supportive of their unique situations, be it family, ongoing education, and military duty. Employing service members, both active and non-active duty, has been a practice of ours and we are proud to do what we can to support these brave individuals.”

As the 1.3 million members of the National Guard and Reserve continue to perform an increasing number of unique missions that require extraordinary actions on the part of everyday citizens, ESGR will continue to be the informational agency for the employers of citizen warriors. More information about ESGR Employee Outreach Programs and volunteer opportunities is available at www.esgr.mil, or by calling Chris Campbell of the Wisconsin ESGR Committee at 608-242-3169.

Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) is a Department of Defense agency established in 1972. The mission of ESGR is to gain and maintain employer support for Guard and Reserve service by recognizing outstanding support, increasing awareness of the law, and resolving conflicts through informal mediation. ESGR volunteers provide free education, consultation, and If necessary mediation for employers of Guard and Reserve employees.
